Delhi HC, district courts to work only till 1 pm

Authorities plan to construct memorial for Vajpayee near Raj Ghat
After the last rites of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee are conducted, authorities reportedly plan to construct a memorial for the BJP veteran near Raj Ghat. An MCD official told News18, that following an inspection of the site, plans for a memorial have been finalised. Apart from Mahatma Gandhi’s samadhi at Raj Ghat, eight former prime ministers, two former presidents and two deputy prime minister have memorials of their own,
Govt of Telangana has declared state holiday on August 17, 2018 as a mark of respect to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. All state govt offices, semi govt offices, public sector undertakings, corporations, boards, educational institutions, etc. will remain closed.
