The\u00a0Shiv Sena\u00a0on Wednesday launched an attack on the\u00a0Congress\u00a0party, saying that the\u00a0Rahul Gandhi-led party needs their support for making the\u00a0Bharat Bandh\u00a0successful in\u00a0Maharashtra.
\nThrough its mouthpiece, Saamna, the\u00a0Uddhav Thackrey-led party said that the Bharat Band was not successful in\u00a0Maharashtra, adding that it would have been successful, had the Sena supported it.
\nThey further stated that the\u00a0Congress\u00a0did not support them when needed during the\u00a0Palghar\u00a0elections.
\n“In\u00a0Palghar, the\u00a0Congress\u00a0and other left parties gave their candidates against\u00a0Shiv Senaand the\u00a0BJP\u00a0won the elections. If\u00a0Congress\u00a0would have supported\u00a0Shiv Sena\u00a0candidate against\u00a0BJP,\u00a0Palghar\u00a0result would have been different, like\u00a0Bhandara Gondia,” the Sena wrote.
\nThe Sena also said that they would have been happy had the\u00a0Bharat Bandh\u00a0been successful as it was in the interest of the common man, adding that former Chief Minister\u00a0Ashok Chavan\u00a0alleging the Sena of double standards was wrong.
\nOn Tuesday,\u00a0Maharashtra\u00a0Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief\u00a0Raj Thackeray\u00a0compared\u00a0Shiv Sena\u00a0to a dog after the latter claimed that the ‘Bharat Bandh’ failed in the state.
\n“There is a breed of dog which doesn’t know which way to look at. Same is\u00a0Shiv Sena’s situation. When their money gets stuck, they talk of stepping out of the alliance, when their work is done, they go silent,” the\u00a0MNS\u00a0chief said.
\nThe\u00a0MNS\u00a0had supported the strike that was held in Mumbai, Thane,\u00a0Palghar, Pune, Nashik and others areas of\u00a0Maharashtra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
