Family\u00a0members of Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, who won the bronze medal in Wushu at the ongoing 18th edition of the\u00a0Asian Games\u00a0in Jakarta-Palembang, celebrated their son’s feat at their residence in Jammu.<\/p>\n
Speaking to ANI, Bhanu’s parents acknowledged the effort that went into their son’s achievement and said “We’re happy and proud. He had struggled a lot and it’s his hard work that has paid off. His\u00a0coach\u00a0had also put in a lot of effort.”<\/p>\n
Bhanu Pratap, a Jammu resident, registered a quarterfinal victory over his\u00a0Philippines\u00a0rival in the men’s 60-kg category. However, he lost the semifinal bout against Iran’s Erfan Ahangarian 0-2 after suffering an\u00a0injury.<\/p>\n
