Four agreements were signed between India and Uganda on Tuesday, 24 July.<\/p>\n

These include MoU on defence cooperation, MoU on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, MoU on a cultural exchange programme and MoU on material testing laboratory, reported ANI.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister\u00a0Narendra Modi, on Tuesday held delegation-level talks with\u00a0President\u00a0of\u00a0Uganda,\u00a0Yoweri Museveni\u00a0and said that\u00a0India\u00a0will continue to play a stable partner in the country’s journey towards development.
\n“We have discussed various topics in the meeting today. I want to assure you that\u00a0Indiawill stand by\u00a0Uganda\u00a0as a stable partner in its journey towards development. I thank you for your warmth and affection.<\/p>\n

India\u00a0and\u00a0Uganda\u00a0have been sharing a strong relationship since a long time,” the Prime Minister said.<\/p>\n

“Also, I want to thank you for taking care of the\u00a0Indian community in\u00a0Uganda. Earlier also I came to the country as\u00a0Chief Minister\u00a0of\u00a0Gujarat. Then also I was welcomed with warmth,” he added referring to his visit to\u00a0Uganda\u00a0in 2007.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister was accorded a ceremonial reception in\u00a0Uganda’s Entebbe town.\u00a0President\u00a0Museveni was also present at the event.<\/p>\n

Besides the delegation level talks, Prime Minister Modi will also be addressing a community event later today. He is on a three-nation tour to the African countries including\u00a0Rwanda,\u00a0Uganda\u00a0and\u00a0South Africa.
\nDuring his visit to\u00a0Rwanda\u00a0earlier,\u00a0India\u00a0and\u00a0Rwanda\u00a0signed eight agreements in an effort to bolster bilateral cooperation between the two nations.<\/p>\n

Furthering ties of trade and commerce, Prime Minister Modi and\u00a0Rwandan\u00a0PresidentPaul Kagame addressed leading CEOs from\u00a0India\u00a0and\u00a0Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Modi also gifted 200 cows to villagers as a part of\u00a0Rwandan Government’s Girinka Programme. (ANI)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
